Mujeres de la abstraccion / Women in abstraction
Initiated and hosted by the Centre Pompidou (June-August 2021) the group show Elles font l'asbtraction/Women in asbtraction/ Mujeres de la abstraccion is organized in collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. The exhibition highlights the contribution of women artists to the history of abstraction from the 1860's to the 1980's, with more than 500 artworks of 106 artists.
Curated by Christine Macel (Centre Pompidou), Karolina Lewandowska (Varsovie Museum) in collaboration with Lekha Hileman Waitoller (Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao).
