Spotlight section
The Galerie Kornfeld (Berlin, Germany) presents paintings and drawings by Vera Pagava at the Spotlight section of the New York Frieze Art Fair, from May 8 - 15, 2020. The exhibition focuses on the non-figurative works by the artist, from the 1960's to the 1980's.
The Spotlight themed section, is curated by Laura Hoptman, executive director of the Drawing Center in New York. Spotlight is dedicated this year to avant-garde, pioneers women artists of the 20th Century. Alongside Vera Pagava, the women artists highlighted are, amongst others, M. Louise Stanley, Ione Saldanha, Nalini Malani or Anna Oppermann.
Due to the world wide sanitary crisis, the Art Fair is held this year online.
