TWELVE WOMEN GONE MISSING

 

On the occasion of TAF (Tbilissi Art Fair), first international contemporary art fair in Georgia, a dozen of watercolors works of Vera Pagava are presented in the off the wall exhibition Twelve Women Gone Missing.  

 

Twelve Women Gone Missing is an all-female exhibition, which gathers works by artists, who emigrated from Georgia to Europe and the United States of America during various critical moments of Georgia’s turbulent history, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century until its very end. The exhibition raises questions around cultural identity, gender and the notions of belonging. Artists presented: Ketuta Alexi - Meskhishvili, Thea Gvetadze, Keti Kapanadze, Anna K.E., Tamara K.E., Salome Machaidze, Sophio Medoidze, Maia Naveriani, Vera Pagava and Tamuna Sirbiladze.
